Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ejaz Butt ruled out the return of notorious fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar following after the recent surgery of his knees in England and his reported undergone a liposuction surgery to remove extra fat from his body.
Akhtar, 34, believes to be take another three to four months to regain full fitness and play competitive cricket after his recent surgery. And the chairman PCB conceives that with a history of fitness problems, Akhtar is unlikely to make a comeback.
Butt – who was in England, responding to a query whether Shoaibs decision to undergo liposuction would boost his chances of a comeback for the Australia tour next month. Butt said Pakistan has a number of young fast bowlers to choose from and that makes Shoaib's chances of a comeback “very remote”.
